How to log door results cleanly

Use a small set of consistent statuses so the office and the field are reading the same thing.

Statuses should mean something

A status is only useful if the whole team knows what it means. Left flyer, talked to owner, no answer, not interested, follow-up needed, and hot lead are good examples because each one points to a different next action.

The goal is not more statuses. The goal is clearer motion after each stop.

Write notes that survive the handoff

The note should answer what happened, what matters, and what the next person needs to know.

That way a manager, closer, or install coordinator can open the record and make sense of it quickly.
